Poppy Fields of the Tuscan Desert (2003) Presented is a view of the 'Tuscan desert' in the South of the region in an area called Crete Senesi. This is so-called due to the round clay hillocks eroded by heavy rain over many centuries. Sheep milk farmed in this region is used to produce the popular Tuscan cheese 'pecorino'. |
